Soirée Cedille Unites Artists and Supporters — Be Part of It
Each fall, Soirée Cedille becomes a celebration of Chicago’s classical music community. More than just a concert, the evening, on Sunday, September 28, beginning at 5pm, brings together patrons, artists, and leaders from across the performing arts community in a shared spirit of discovery and support. Guests gather not only to enjoy world-class performances, but also to experience firsthand the power of Cedille’s mission: creating recordings that spotlight Chicago’s remarkable musicians and elevate their artistry to the world stage.
At Soirée Cedille, friendships are strengthened and new connections are formed as donors and artists share the same space, celebrating a common passion for music. By supporting Cedille, donors help artists take bold steps in their careers, building the visibility and recognition that lead to more concert engagements, commissions, and professional growth.
While the deadline for dinner reservations has passed, we warmly invite you to join us for the concert portion of the evening, either in person in Chicago or online. The concert will feature some of Chicago’s most inspiring musicians, headlined by the winner of Cedille’s recent Emerging Artist Competition, oboist Oliver Talukder, and baritone Will Liverman, offering a glimpse into the breadth of artistry Cedille is proud to champion.
Whether sitting in the hall or tuning in virtually, you’ll be part of a vibrant community that celebrates the power of music and the artists who create it. Together, we continue to lift up Chicago’s musicians, expanding their reach and ensuring that their voices are heard across the world. We hope you will join us for this special evening of music and celebration.

Cedille’s newest digital single, Mischa Zupko: Harpsichord Concerto is available to stream everywhere. Scored for harpsichord and string quartet, the concerto exhibits highly idiomatic harpsichord writing, brought brilliantly into the present by Zupko’s ingenious reshaping of older musical styles into a thoroughly modern expression.
From Chicago-based composter Stacy Garrop comes INVICTUS, Latin for “unconquered.” The work unfolds across four movements and an interlude, moving between lyrical introspection, fierce determination, and triumphant resolve, with Grammy-nominated pianist Marta Aznavoorian and the Chicago Philharmonic under the direction of Artistic Director Scott Speck. Available 5/8.
In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, we repromote our playlist of Cedille recordings of music by (almost all) American composers based on American themes — people, places, events, etc. — and add a few recent tracks that fit the theme (and bring the total to 50).
