Leo Sowerby: The Paul Whiteman Commissions & Other Early Works features two critically-acclaimed symphonic jazz works: Synconata and Symphony for Jazz Orchestra (“Monotony”). The album also features Sowerby chamber works created during the same period, including two world-premiere recordings of String Quartet in D minor and Tramping Tune.
