Cedille Comes Together
Cedille Records has enjoyed many special moments this season that brought our community together to celebrate the impact of Cedille’s work and the artistry of Chicago’s finest musicians. In February, we were delighted to partner with the Haymarket Opera Company for a festive event celebrating the release of Leonardo Vinci: Artaserse. The evening, which featured live performances, highlighted Haymarket’s commitment to bringing early opera to life and underscored Cedille’s shared mission to preserve and amplify these remarkable performances globally.
We were also pleased to host our first annual Virtuoso Guild dinner, an evening recognizing the generosity and vision of Cedille’s most dedicated supporters. Guests enjoyed an intimate musical performance by violinist Karisa Chiu and pianist Kuang-Hao Huang, whose collaboration exemplified the close connection between artists and supporters that defines Cedille.
Beyond Chicago, we recently invited supporters in New York and Washington, D.C., to experience Cedille artists in their own communities. From the Pacifica Quartet’s performance of two world premieres on Washington Performing Arts’ annual Ruth Bader Ginsburg Memorial Recital, to Karisa Chiu’s Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall debut in New York, these moments offer meaningful opportunities to connect our national network of donors with the musicians they champion.
Together, these gatherings — both here in Chicago and across the country — celebrate the vibrant community that sustains Cedille’s work and ensures that these exceptional performances continue to be heard. We hope to have the chance to see you soon too!

Cedille’s newest digital single, Mischa Zupko: Harpsichord Concerto is available to stream everywhere. Scored for harpsichord and string quartet, the concerto exhibits highly idiomatic harpsichord writing, brought brilliantly into the present by Zupko’s ingenious reshaping of older musical styles into a thoroughly modern expression.
