Artist Spotlight – Clarice Assad
This month we release Archetypes. Cedille’s 4th album with Third Coast Percussion, it’s also our 5th with music by Clarice Assad. We celebrate with a playlist of all her tracks on Cedille plus many on other labels that Clarice curated herself. Her works on the new disc will be added on March 12.

25-year-old rising American violinist Karisa Chiu and renowned Chinese pianist Zhu Wang unite for Chiu’s debut album, HOME. Influenced by her Chicago upbringing, pandemic discoveries, and Korean and Chinese family roots, the recording reflects on the various interpretations of “home” in Chiu’s life, with works by Jean Sibelius, Claude Debussy, Augusta Read Thomas, Cyril Scott, and Gabriel Fauré.
In honor of this month’s (Nov. 14) release of the Pacifica Quartet’s The Korngold Collection, an update of our 2019 playlist of music by composers who were displaced or killed in WW2 and the Holocaust, to which we’ll add tracks from the new album when it becomes available on streaming.
