Cedille’s Future: Built on a Strong Foundation
Thanks to the generosity and encouragement of our loyal community of supporters, Cedille Records has continued to grow and flourish over the past several years. With your help, Cedille has built a strong foundation — one rooted in artistic excellence, collaboration, and a shared belief in the extraordinary talent of Chicago’s classical musicians.
This past year, we took time to reflect on our mission and chart a vision for Cedille’s long-term future through an in-depth strategic planning process. Guided by Board member Jane DiRenzo Pigott, whose thoughtful leadership helped shape every stage of this work, we engaged Cedille artists, staff, and the Board of Directors in meaningful conversations about how to best serve Chicago’s music community for decades to come. With the enthusiasm and leadership of Board Chair John Schmidt, our Board came together to affirm Cedille’s future direction and renew our commitment to the values that have made Cedille so special.
We are also deeply grateful to the Walder Foundation, whose generous multi-year grant will help Cedille implement new marketing strategies aligned with our strategic plan. This vital support will strengthen our ability to reach new audiences and better serve our artists, ensuring that their recordings and stories are shared with the world.
Cedille’s continuing success is also a testament to our organizational strength: a growing and engaged Board of Directors and a dedicated professional staff whose commitment and continuity are sources of great pride. Together, they ensure that Cedille remains a stable and forward-looking home for Chicago’s artists.
As we look to the future, Cedille is planning not just for the next few years, but for generations to come. Recordings are the musical legacy of Cedille’s artists. With your continued support, they can be part of your legacy also.
Please consider joining the Martin D. Ginsburg Society, named for Cedille’s first Board Chair. The Society honors Marty and others who have elected to include Cedille in their estate plans.
We are laying the groundwork for a long future in which Cedille will continue to nurture and amplify the voices of Chicago’s finest classical musicians. With your partnership and belief in our mission, we are excited to launch the next chapters of Cedille Records’ ongoing legacy and appreciate your joining us on this continued journey of growth and discovery.
