Silenced Voices: Composers displaced or killed during WW2/the Shoah
Our new release for July 2019, Silenced Voices, the recording debut of Chicago’s Black Oak Ensemble, comprises music by Jewish composers whose artistry was suppressed and (in all but one case) lives were ended by the Nazis. We commemorate with music by composers who were displaced or killed in WW2.
