Evolving for Artists and Audiences
Cedille Records is evolving alongside a rapidly changing musical landscape — embracing new ways to connect listeners and artists while ensuring a vibrant future for both. Beginning this year, Cedille has adopted a release model centered primarily on digital distribution, rather than physical CDs. This shift reflects not only the realities of today’s industry, but also our commitment to the sustainability of our mission-focused work and to serving both artists and listeners.
What hasn’t changed is what matters most: Cedille’s support of artists remains unwavering. That mission — to document and share the artistry of Chicago’s extraordinary musicians — remains at the heart of everything we do.
Our entire catalog can be purchased at cedillerecords.org and accessed worldwide via CD, download, and streaming platforms — ensuring these performances remain available to audiences for generations to come.
At the same time, we are enhancing how you experience Cedille’s new releases. Our subscription program has been redesigned to offer greater flexibility, value, and access.
Cedille subscriptions include:
• High-resolution digital versions of new albums and singles, in your preferred format
• The option to receive exclusive physical CD copies of digital album releases, not otherwise available to the public, at no additional cost. These copies will be packaged in a compact wallet case with a QR code linking to the full booklet
• Advance copies of all albums before their public release
• A 20% discount on all CD purchases from cedillerecords.org
Subscriptions are simple and flexible, available for $80 annually or $8 monthly, with all-inclusive pricing and automatic renewal.
This evolution ensures that Cedille can continue championing artists, preserving great performances, and bringing inspiring music to listeners — now and into the future.

From Chicago-based composter Stacy Garrop comes INVICTUS, Latin for “unconquered.” The work unfolds across four movements and an interlude, moving between lyrical introspection, fierce determination, and triumphant resolve, with Grammy-nominated pianist Marta Aznavoorian and the Chicago Philharmonic under the direction of Artistic Director Scott Speck. Available 5/8.
Haymarket Opera Company presents early-18th-century master Leonardo Vinci’s rare operatic gem, Artaserse (1730). A prominent figure of the Neapolitan School of opera, whose work influenced composers such as Johann Adolph Hasse and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi, Vinci’s three-act opera seria centers on the Persian prince, Artaserse, who must bring his father’s murderer to justice amidst betrayal, deceit, and mistaken identity.
To celebrate Stacy Garrop‘s piano concerto, INVICTUS (5/8 release), based on a poem about perseverance and resilience in adversity, a playlist of Cedille tracks that represent struggle against prohibitive odds — explicitly in words or as program music, or inherently in their musical nature.
