Chicago Composers Playlist
In honor of our November release featuring music by Chicago composer Mischa Zupko, we present a playlist of 20 different Chicago composers, to which we’ll add the title track from Mischa Zupko’s album Eclipse when it’s released on November 11. Sharing high-quality recordings of the work of our city’s many talented composers is a core aspect of Cedille’s mission, and we’ve been thrilled to present world-premiere recordings written and performed by local artists to national and global audiences. In celebration of this month’s release of In Sympathy, an album comprising Chicago composer Mischa Zupko‘s works for saxophone, a playlist of wind instrument featured tracks from 35 different Cedille albums and singles. We’ll add one from “In Sympathy” when it “drops” on 11/13.
On Sunday, September 27 many of Chicago’s most enthusiastic classical music supporters gathered at Venue SIX10 to celebrate Cedille Records with wonderful performances, meaningful presentations of our annual awards, and delicious food and drink.
