Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings

The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings at Cedille Records honors the late Justice’s love of vocal music — the music and its performers — and her support of Cedille Records.

Members of the RBG clerk family are invited to join us in celebrating her love of music. Clerks will be recognized in any public listing with the notation “RBG Law Clerk” after their name.

A Message From Members of the Justice’s Clerk Family

Given our shared clerk experience of attending the Washington National Opera with the Justice (some of us for the first time, others as concert-level musicians), we hope that this opportunity will appeal to you.

The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings at Cedille Records will support at least one vocal release each year.

Not only is this a beautiful way to honor the Justice, it also is a tangible reminder to all of how deeply the Justice lived life and how generously she shared her interests and passions with others.

We invite you to join us as a Founding contributor to this special project by donating today!  Thank you!

Sincerely,

Maria Simon (OT95), Cedille Board Member
Alexandra “Lexa” Victor Edsall (OT98)
Jim Rogers (’80-’81)
Michael Li-Ming Wong (OT95)

Recognition

All donors of gifts received or pledged in 2022 will be listed as Founding Supporters of the Fund in donor listings and may be invited to attend private events, recordings sessions, and receive other exclusive benefits. The Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings welcomes gifts of all sizes, including estate gifts.

I view recordings as one way in which all of us can create a legacy. We want to be remembered. Everybody wants to be remembered.

The Impact of Your Support

“Recording an album gives you a lot of artistic freedom. That’s different from performing in an opera or concert when you [are working with] lots of different opinions on the story you’re telling. In recording, you’re able to say whatever you want to say, essentially. And that’s really meaningful and just so honest.”

Will Liverman

“Vocalists have a particularly interesting [career] path because our voices are in our body, and our body changes. You can have a legacy through recording. That’s really important for vocalists.”

Nicole Cabell

Your gift to the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fund for Vocal Recordings will support Cedille recordings that feature vocal works.

Supporters are invited to fulfill their pledge over a three-year period. To make a multi-year pledge, donate securities, or donate by check, please fill out and return this form.
