Celebrate Cedille with our Local Partners

Cedille partners with local vendors to make your Soirée viewing experience special

This year, like many other organizations, Cedille Records is going digital for its annual fundraising event, Soirée Cedille. Cedille staff, Board, and artists are thrilled at the opportunities to feature more performances — and to involve supporters beyond Chicago to our gala. This year’s event will feature more performers than ever before with a lineup that includes Anthony McGill, clarinet; Third Coast Percussion; Will Liverman, baritone (with Craig Terry, piano); and Rachel Barton Pine, violin. The event will be hosted by Cedille founder and President, Jim Ginsburg. You can find event details and purchase tickets here.

Every year, Cedille works with local partners to produce an event that celebrates Chicago’s classical music community. This year, many of these partners are joining us to ensure that Soirée Cedille remains a gathering of friends and a true celebration of our mutual love of music. With a donation to the event of $100 or more, you will receive a gift bag with a custom CD featuring tracks by the Soirée performers, masks that will show your support for Chicago music locally produced by Pridemasks, and selected recipes by “Chef Supreme” Martin D. Ginsburg, Cedille’s inaugural Board Chair, to serve at your home event. All items are made locally in Chicago.

Since 2015 Cedille Records has partnered with the Entertaining Company to create spectacular food for Soirée Cedille. This year, Entertaining Company has created custom Hors d’Oeuvres packages available for delivery to local attendees. Menus and ordering information are available here

In Fine Spirits, Cedille’s neighbor and wine supplier for the event has also created a list of wine and beer pairings to accompany the Entertaining Company’s delicious menu and make your at home viewing experience even more enjoyable.

We hope you join us for a wonderful night and support these local vendors! For more information, please contact Philip Courington philip@cedillerecords.org or (773) 989-2515.

With the new month comes a new featured playlist on Spotify — or, in this case, a refresh of our Artist Debuts on Cedille playlist, originally created in 2022 to celebrate the inaugural album by the first Emerging Artist Competition winner, saxophonist Julian Velasco.

The update is to celebrate oboist Oliver Talukder, winner of Cedille’s second competition, as well as other artists who have made their Cedille debus since 2022.  (Oliver’s track will be added on Friday when his album, Briefly Gorgeous, is released.)
